Argh! It seems the older I get the more difficult it is for me to keep blogs and what not updated. Maybe I should take a note from so many other women and just perpetually suspend my aging process....maybe that would help with my updates....hhhmmmm....
After battling through several illnesses I am happy to report I'm alive and well. Though admitedly there's always a paranoia that overcomes me when I go get tested for TB. This time around (did it to get into school) I had a mean chest cold so coughing and hacking was something I tried desperately to supress while I was at the clinic. Didn't help either when my little red bump got bigger because of some silly skin reaction. I know, I'm silly.
Either way despite sickness, TB paranoia, and having my brain eaten with math studies (for the placement test) I'm overyly extatic to report that I have been accepted back into college and have registered for classes (though paying for them is still on the to do list). That's right, in six years time (give or take a year) I will be an actual know it all with a PHD in back in the dizzle. Oh, and don't put it past me to shrink that thing down to wallet sized once I get it!
Other than that there really isn't much going on. I've started looking after my grandfather once a week for a little extra cash...and boy that's a small adventure each time I go down there. Though admitedly it is helping me understand my roots a little better and gearing me up for all the history classes I'm going to have to take.
I finally got my grandmother to talk a little about growing up on a sugar plantation and to see life from her side I went to the plantation village down in Waipahu this weekend. Man, it's crazy to walk through the same kind of homes your family lived in. For any of you on Oahu I highly recomend checking it out. Especially if you have roots in sugar.

Anyway, glad you're feeling better and HOORAY (right?) for school. I'm almost done with my semester for the summer.
