Hi,
My name is Geoff.
Im 31 years old, Im single, I own my own home and I live alone. I'm honest and loyal to a fault. I give too much and expect too little. I think the best of people even when I probably shouldn't. Sometimes I'm sad.
I was born and raised in Victoria, BC. I have no brothers or sisters. My youth was highlighted by no acts of rebellion or social disorder. I was quiet, shy, friendly and chubby. I went to public school through grade 6 and then private school from grades 7 through 12. I was not an exceptional student.
Im a big geek! This is probably my single most defining feature. Im your classic geek too. Im the kind of geek you see made fun of on television and in the movies. I collect comics. I go to conventions. I make costumes. I have tons of action figures. I play video games. Im a movie nut. I watch cartoons. I could spend hours talking to you about Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, The Venture Brothers, MST3K, Ghostbusters, Tron, Doctor Who, Futurama, Monty Python, Red Dwarf, G.I. Joe and much much more.
Im a freelance animator and cartoonist in the very loosest sense. That is to say I have on occasion been paid to draw. I also have a highly unsuccessful web comic. I spend a lot of time with my friends being funny. I know it sounds weird, but its really true. Being funny is probably what Im best at. Humour is very important in my circle of friends.
Ive had 5 actual relationships over the course of my adult life. Some good, some great, some well, not. Im not going to name names, they all know where they rank, and if they dont they can feel free to ask me and Ill clear that up for them.
The things I want out of life are pretty pedestrian I think. Id like to own a house someday. Something big enough to raise a kid or two but small enough to look after without too much trouble. I grew up in a big house, and while that was nice, I wouldnt want to go that route. I couldnt afford to even if I did. The 2 main things I want out of a house (and these are my selfish wants) is a room suitable to be my home theatre and a room I can use to display my collectibles and be my office. A place where I can work on my comic and drawings surrounded by the things that inspire me.
Id like a job that pays a decent wage and lets me indulge my hobbies. Something I dont have to take home with me. Ideally Id love to work in animation or on my comic. Owning and operating a business with my significant other is also an appealing prospect.
Id like to meet someone who shares the same kinds of interests as I do. Someone who will put up with my geekishness. Someone who will geek out with me. Someone who likes me as much as I like them. Basically I just want to meet someone nice. Im lonely.
I want to have kids some day. 1 or 2 is fine by me. I grew up an only child and I loved it. I know a lot of people who grew up with siblings and swear its something their kids gotta have. Thats fine with me. 2 is about my limit though. I want to spend a lot of time with my kids, and I doubt Id be able to do that if I had to support 3 of them.
Girl, House, Kids, Job. That about sums that up. Simple.
Thats who I am.

Either way, I'm impressed by how succinct that description was.
