So I am glad I voluntered for the Inauguration. I got to help feed people into the lines for the metal detectors and just give people information etc. Then I worked a concert that night with Elvis Costello ,Sam Moore and Sting. It was a 24 hour work day, but it was fun! I also got great seats for the parade-glad I brought my camera!

luree:
Thank you! I can't wait!

know of any good shopping (vintage, furniture, cds or vinyl)???? biggrin
pagoo:
Your best bet is probably Camden Lock Markets on Sunday. ( London ). It is a zoo, but there are vintage dealers. Cds or Vinyl are much more expensive in the UK than here- there are vintage record stores in London- use google- but again they will probably be more expensive than anywhere in the US.

I would strongly suggest posting this question on the Thorn tree website/ Lonely Planet. Before you post a question.read for a while to get a feel for thre site.. Basically we (responders to posts) like the questions as specific as possible, i.e. " I am going to London and would like to look for markets/or shops where I can buy vinatge clothes" or whatever it is you want to buy.

I travel alot, and use that website to ask questions. If they are precise you'll get some good advice.

They still have Klan rallies here. Florida is "The South" trying to put a plastic not-south mask on for the tourists. So you have half the place as raging racists and the other half overly sensitive trying too hard getting offended by things which are not really offensive, because they totally missed the civil rights leaps and bounds forward the rest of the nation made in the 1960's-1980's. It is not for me. I want to go home. I've never lived someplace where the majority of black people looked at me like I was a piece of crap. Out west we seem to be more laid back and all just get along more without so many shoulder chips or so much animosity. I like that, people being people and relating as people with enough room for a sense of humor and friendship.

It was almost 60 today, I went to the zoo for a while. I'd never been to the invertibrates building, they had some really cool jelly-fish that were transparent. I tried to take pictures but they didn't come out.

I also saw some crocidiles that I did not know they had there. I do like crocodiles!
