BLOG! Sounds like an onomatopoeia for puking.

I have nothing against blogs. Freedom of speech is freedom indeed. I believe we are approaching a day when that freedom will be squelched. The townhall uprisings of late are a key factor. I would agree with these "grass-roots" antagonists, under other circumstances, but one question consistently comes up:

Where the FUCK were these people when Bush was...

Just so you know, I voted for Obama, but he is not your Savior. I know that now. And so should you. Wake the fuck up. The powers that be, be they global, federal, or local, do not want you to exercise your rights. If you did, they would be out of a job. Thats why they feed you tea bagging bullshit and American fucking...

Oh lord I find it hard to believe we have anything at all in common BUT dareisay WE DO!! I kinda consider Obama like a figure head sorta like the Queen of England...she tells the people exactly what they want to hear...she presents exactly as a proper person should...but it's all smoke and mirrors!! And just the fact that the media and society as a whole not just america is all lovin on him just proves the point he is the new "American Idol' Show!! BTW what is his wife wearing on the show tonight????

Back from IRAQ, bitches...!

I didnt realize this account still worked. I tried it out, out of curiosity and my bored, festering mind. But hey, whatever. Spell check, cool.

Yes, I survived the barren, pot-hole ridden Iraqi wasteland, and live to tale the tell. Ill now take questions from the audience about my adventures. Type slow, so as not to wake my visiting Yankee friend....

To give an idea of my current tolerence, I feel like Dr. Thompson partying with Ned Flanders. Not quite drinking Wild Turkey like water, but i feel it coming.

Getting close now. I can almost taste the sweet barlely and hops. The smell of my truck. That feeling of freedom, as if youve just been released from a dungeon. FUCK I hate this place. I am talking about deployment, but also the Army. 10 months left in this mind-rotting institution for the dehabilitated. Its almost turned me into an anarchist. Almost.

They tell me...

Almost at the halfway point on my Iraqi Safari. 6mos in and boredom is running rampant. My only entertainment is the cheap bass guitar I ordered, and look forward to smashing at the end of the tour. Internet sucks shit, everyone with a game system plays sports games. I need a fucking beer.

Reporting live from the Land of Sand, back to you Burt.

Yeah, man. I'm a huge Primus/Les Claypool fan. He's the one that got me into playing six string bass. I'm still a guitar player, but I love the fucking bass.

I've never heard of BYOB or Otep's Battle Ready. I'll have to check that out. I may have heard of Otep. Is that the grind band with the chick singer?

Can't say I know what it's like going on a military mission, but I've been involved in some pretty dangerous and seedy shit living in the city that care forgot, New Orleans. Sometimes it felt like being in a war zone. It was worse pre-Katrina, though. But I'd always throw on some Triumph or Yngwie Malmsteen or Hammerfall. Either that or something like Onyx. They're a gangsta rap group. It just felt right in a lot of situations. Cruising through the fucking PJ's wondering if my car was going to get shot up.

Glad to be out of that. Now my only "missions" are in Halo and Half Life!

Stay strong, bro and get back to Texas safe. But beware, them crazy assed motherfuckers from n'awlins is all up in Texas right now! You might just be going from the fire to the frying pan, so to speak. wink
rebeldogg:
Yeah, man. I hear you about the guitar v. bass thing. I know a lot of bass players that said that. But I've always said if you can play one you can play the other. I really like jumping on a six string bass. I don't know if you've ever played a six or seven string bass, but if you can get good on that it shows on the guitar. The string spacing and higher action really warm your fingers up. I can actually play faster on the big neck of a bass than on my guitar. But then when I switch and get that slender neck in my hands I feel like I just fly, man. I wish I never would have sold my bass, but I had to sell it among other equipment to make this move to L. A. Damn I miss that thing...

First entry. Im a boring bastard and dont have alot of time, what with all the senselessness Im forced to endure on a daily basis in the military. I havent been to the sandbox yet, but soon enough, God willing. Ill spend a year or so there, dodge some bullets, and return home debt-free with money in hand to walk away from this mind-numbing institution...
