Iota is a short film that I fell in love with this morning. People check it out if you ever find it or get a chance to see it. It's 10 minutes, but it's so beautifully done and simply moving.
I've been such a recluse when it comes to watching all the indie and foreign flicks right now with the little time I have. It's helped me in dealing with the grieving and stress that's in my life right now with my family and finances. I'm working hard to build stability in a topsy-turvy world.
But in the midst of it all when I find something I find visually beautiful through art, film, and etc... it makes life a little easier to swallow. As for my morning watching Iota that 10 minutes of just sadness and visual sensibility was nice. It's kind of a sad story like Ponette, but more compelling because it's a short film then an intensely sad story of a french orphan. Iota is more of a strangely haunted state of mind through a tragic kind of remembrance for a love one and the cinematography make it so easy to eternalize the film symbolic for me.
Over all death comes with redemption.
