SO....My first blog on here. Woo.
Enough with the fanfare. I have decided that I miss living at home. Not with my parents, but in the house i grew up in on the small farm out in the country. I love the atmosphere, the smell of the air, feel of the ground. Chopping wood, fixing a little fence, tinkering on an ancient truck and feeding the sheep and cows is amazingly therapeutic.
I am, for lack of a better term, a country boy. I grew up in the country, have only ever driven (until my 4runner) old trucks, appreciate home grown foods, have no qualms about sending the steer or lambs to the great field in the sky, or working hard.
I just find living in town is....tolerable.
This is a peaceful life....I love that. Peace, as of late, has been rather rare in my world. The hustle and bustle of the world around me drains my energy and desire. This blog is a perfect example. It was too much effort to write up anything it seemed when in my lil cookiecutter apartment in Missoula after working a 9+ hour day out at work and then coming home dirty and tired..
BUT, today, after exercising dogs, chopping/stacking 2 cords of wood, tending animals and trying to fix an ancient truck just for the hell of it, I feel revitalized.
Need to farm-sit more often I think
