What i want to talk about today is.....love.

Im talking love here...not sex or obsession...although both come into love.
Two times in my life i have really been in love. The first...well...lets just say it was a while ago and it ended badly. Like...only one of use survived the relashionship...and as im still typing you know it was me
And the second time...is now. With someone on this site.
Now...im not going to name the person. He/She knows who he/she is.
The point is...that im in love with them even though i know nothing will ever come of it...no way will we ever be together....and the odds are that he/she wouldnt want that anyway.
So...for awhile now its been eating me up inside.
Some of you know that two of my friends died just over a week ago. Well one of them, alex, made provesion that if anything happen...i would recieve his diary.
I just want to share something he said.
"One of the few things i regret is that i have never loved anyone...not really...not the way that people say."
That may be one of the saddest things i have ever read. To know that there are people who have NEVER loved...not once.
Its put things in perspective for me. Ok, he/she will never be mine...but atleast ive felt that love for them...and because he/she is a far better person than i deserve....they are still a good friend to me.
So what im saying is....if your alone..if your single...its bad...but atleast if youve loved...even just once....maybe thats enough to keep you going.
PS...if you think im talking about you with the he/she, im not. If you think you can guess who it is...your wrong.
If you know its you. Then you know i love you anyway.

some people will tell you that losing love is the most painful thing that ever happened to them and that it wasn't worth it.
Some people have loved and lost, and still remember it fondly.
But most importantly, those who REALLY loved someone will learn something about their own nature, and will be the better for it. that's what makes it worthwhile.
