**The following is an excerpt from a mental rant that echoed off the craggy walls of the inside of my head when I happened to catch a tasty earful of America's favorite three piece pop-punk darlings on commercial radio. Please bear with me, I may be in the midst of a complete breakdown**

"Is Green Day really trying to peddle a pseudo-political rock opera on the American people? What?!? Jesus Christ. I heard about it a while ago, but maybe it was just too painful for my feeble brain to really comprehend. Or maybe I just repressed it along with memories of Yahoo Serious' brief film career.

"How are you going to pen lyrics like these...

I'm so damn bored I'm going blind, And I smell like shit

and expect any one to respect your opinion about the state of the country a few albums later.

"I need political rants from Green Day like I need a dissertation on the space-time continuum from fucking Carrot Top.

"Hey, Billie Joe Armstrong, could you please blow your false English accent out your ass?! Thanks.

"Aaaaaarrrrgghhhh!"

**Am I out of line? Can anyone show me the light on this one? Why do I care so much? Hmmm. Bed time--or aneurysm time, we'll see...**
