Your travel plans are inciting twinges of envy. But good for you. I'm glad you're doing these things.

And yeah, I'm pretty happy. It's either my partner or my recent home brewing spree - I'm not really sure.

I'm really chuffed for you that you're getting to travel so much. Strangely enough, all of the places in Europe you mentioned are places I've never been, but I imagine Helsinki will be pretty fun. As will Stockholm, and...well, you get the gist. If you ever get the chance, try and get to Budapest. It's easily the most gorgeous city I've ever seen.

Lots going on, but most excitingly, my friend and I got a residency in Finland! He and I will be living over there for a month and working on a project in a gallery space in Turku. If you happen to be in those parts, hit me up. After the residency is over I'll be sticking around for a while and will probably end up...

Haha i also get entertained by that were i live, mostly people driving along listening to rubbish or kids smashing up the bus shelter outside of my flat! Finland... I'm jealous and I haven't been to Germany but hope to one day, I have heard Cologne is really lovely.

Settled in the the new place and working away on a number of projects, my current favorite of which is the new loft! It's over the doorway so I can stand under it easily and the ceilings are high enough that I can stand on top of it too - totally awesome! Possibly the coolest thing about it is that because it spans three walls...

The loft looks very cool, and you did a nice job with that. I'm liking the artwork as well, and I hope your show goes well.

Oh, man, that's awesome that you get to see Saint Vitus. That'll be great, and having that special lady friend go with you will make it even better.
babyneko:
Wowo so I got the awnser to the Finland question from here biggrin And I like your artwork ^^

For some reason the pair of boots I have for sale isn't showing up, I'll try and figure it out.

it has nothing to do with that photo. I'm just leaving for vacation tomorrow, and that is where I am going.

my thesis is related to the HIV research that I was starting when I went to the ECCT. smile

Holy shit! Got extras?

My friend Devon and I are working on a large-scale art project involving cryptozoids...and antlers, among other things, are damn expensive (odd, considering Idaho and its cheap hunting tags is nearby).

The move went well and I am now enjoying a small but nice apartment in Greenpoint. There's a park out my front door and this is very nice.

I've had Blood of Kingu and Sardonis on repeat for a few weeks now, if you don't know either of them, you should probably check them out if blasty but atmospheric black metal in the vein of...

Edit- I may be traveling quite a bit this month, if you're around get ahold of me:
Boston July 3 -5
Miami second week of July
Nashville July 18 - 21
East Hampton last week of July

Maryland Deathfest was great. Highlights would be pointless, but the black metal killed it. My faves in no order: Bolt Thrower (predictable), Absu, Mayhem, Destroyer 666, Aura Noir,...

I'd love to see pictures of this mural.

Best of luck with the family reunion. I'm going through something of that sort this month.

And really, it was nice to see you in Baltimore. I would have liked to have hung out more, but ended up sort of rushing around. Per usual.

Oh, and I recently did a burlesque act to Turbo Lover. I was pretty sure you'd have been into it.
takeahnase:
Thanks for the vote of confidence, I appreciate it. I essentially have a practice run of it next month so that's not too bad. As for new music, I've kinda been doing the same as you. Went on a serious Sunn O))) / Earth trip recently. Only new thing is the latest <Code> album, Resplendent Grotesque, which is stunning. Very good if you dig Dodheimsgard. How's the travelling going?

I did not go to jail per the last post. This is good. I went in to court and the summons was pending a warrant, but then it was dismissed. I am a free man if you were concerned.

However, I did get another summons last Saturday for having an open container. This happened because I went outside a party to talk to a girl...

What hotel? I'm staying at a punk haus somewhere in Baltimore...my travelmates and I are transporting epic quantities of booze. I have a feeling it will all be consumed the first evening.
madeleine:
Nobody you'd know, I think.

A couple months ago I mentioned that I got into trouble for carrying around an illegal knife in Manhattan. It's not really a big deal and would be dismissed if I showed up to the hearing with an explanation about it from my work. However... I thought it was on the 9th and it was the 3rd... that means I missed it and likely have...

Dude, the things I miss when I'm away! Must say your life's sounding pretty eventful right now. How were Pentagram? I'm really surprised they're still going.
