Settled in the the new place and working away on a number of projects, my current favorite of which is the new loft! It's over the doorway so I can stand under it easily and the ceilings are high enough that I can stand on top of it too - totally awesome! Possibly the coolest thing about it is that because it spans three walls I was able to use the pre-existing wall studs for support so there are no legs, just a ladder to get up. Okay, admittedly that's some nerding out, but I'm totally stoked. So, this is where I do it now:
Next, just finished getting all my work wrapped and prepared to ship to Boston for my show at LaMontagne Gallery. They've been shifting the dates around, but it opens on the 17th of this month and the reception is the 24th. I'm really excited about this one and just finished a new piece for it:
Fuck! The daffodils got cut off. I don't have time to resize it, so if you like just take a look in my photos, it's there. I'll update that sometime soon with a bunch of stuff as well, hadn't realized it had been so long.
So, if you're in Boston that weekend, please come by, hang out, say hi, and then party it up afterward. Some friends of mine from here will be up there that weekend as well and we should be getting into some kind of trouble and fun, you're welcome to join if you're not an asshole. Also that weekend in Boston - EYEHATEGOD! Fucking stoked on that one. They're playing Brooklyn the night after as well, so I may go to both.
More music: Om is playing tomorrow at Europa, looking forward to it. Also, St. Vitus is playing next week at the same venue! Totally rad. Plus a special lady friend of mine from the PDX is coming out to visit for the show. I totally have butterflies which is nice and unfortunately, uncommon.
More art: I'll also have a piece in a show called 'Gruesome Demise' at Pandemic Gallery in Brooklyn this month. It's a Halloween show and it opens the day before Halloween, which is also my little brother's birthday incidentally.
I think that's the gist of things right now, trying to plan a trip to Puerto Rico to visit a friend, my place is a fucking mess, and I'm not quite so fucking broke as I was a month ago - things are more or less good. Okay, openings await.

Oh, man, that's awesome that you get to see Saint Vitus. That'll be great, and having that special lady friend go with you will make it even better.
