The move went well and I am now enjoying a small but nice apartment in Greenpoint. There's a park out my front door and this is very nice.
I've had Blood of Kingu and Sardonis on repeat for a few weeks now, if you don't know either of them, you should probably check them out if blasty but atmospheric black metal in the vein of Drudkh and crushing stoner influenced doom are up your alley.
The mural that was mentioned in my last post is now finished. That's all I really have to say about it, it turned out reasonably well but is just not something I feel any real connection with.
On a different note, I have a few shows coming up.
First is 'The Cursed Chateau' at the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art. You may remember my mention of working on a piece for a show about Dungeons & Dragons and this is it. It opens concurrent with GenCon, the largest gaming event in the world in August. I probably won't make it there for the opening, but if you're going, please check it out.
Second is 'Under the Same Shadow' which is with my good friend Alex DeMaria here in Brooklyn at Fountain Studios. We will both have our individual works and, in addition, a collaborative piece with a sound element. This show opens in September and I'm extremely excited about it... I'll post more when I have a little more time.
Just wanted to make a quick update, mostly because I'm looking forward to the shows. Now I have to go check on laundry.
Oh, I sent naked pictures of myself to someone through Email for the first time. It was a trade and I think a fair one. Realizing it was my first time doing so made me feel like such a puritan. Then I didn't care.
Also, the family thing in Nashville was great and I was worried for nothing as it turns out. I may be coming to the bay area and PDX in October. More soon.
