So the show's up and the reception was great! Thanks to everyone that showed up, and if you didn't, you have two more days to see it. We went through something like 120 bottles of wine and an equally absurd amount of beer in a little over two hours and then finished off the night at some of the sweet bars in the Brigham Circle area. Okay, that aside it was still fun. Here's the info about the show if you want to go and if you do let me know, I'll be in the area:
MFA Thesis Exhibition
April 14th - April 24th
Reception: April 17th 6-8pm
Paine and Bakalar Galleries at Massachusetts College of Art and Design
621 Huntington Ave
Boston, MA
Went to the BU openings the next night and had a good time at the after parties. The show was alright, still obviously under the tutelage of someone with an agenda but there was some work that I really liked. There's some bizarre tension and rivalry between our programs that I don't get and I think some of it comes from my having made out with one of their girls over a year ago. Duuuuumb.
Still with my GF. It's pretty cool, though sometimes kinda hard. Last night we made really good dinner and watched a Japanese movie, 'Casshern'. Pretty bad ass.
My parents are in town along with my little sister who's up from med school in NYC - it's nice to have them around for a little while and I'm looking forward to showing them the work I have up.
SO. I'm done with my show and will be done with school in one month's time. That means my objectives for Boston are coming to an end. That means I'll be moving in the next few months. It's looking like Sunset Park in Brooklyn. Likely more on that soon. Hope all are well.
