I decided to turn down the job at the Guggenheim. It was a hard decision, but, I moved to Boston to go to school so that's what I'm going to do while I'm here. When I explained my position to them they understood and said to contact them when I got to NYC, so it should work out eventually.
Final reviews are done for this semester! Though, I'll be a guest critic in one of the undergrad classed Monday and Tuesday next week. Here're some new slides I shot last week, some of them I've uploaded before, but the color is better. I tried to edit them down, but they're still a little wide- you should be able to see the whole images in my photo gallery if you want.

Titles, dimensions, and media are all up on my website OwenRundquist.com if you're curious, I don't feel like cutting and pasting all that crap.
The print is for an exchange portfolio and show for Syracuse University in NY. It's also looking like I'll be participating in an exchange show with the MFA program at Tyler, so if you're in Philly, my work will be there and so will I some time early next year (probably February). I actually may be there as soon as I get back for a friend's opening on the 4th, but possibly not. I've never been there, so hopefully it's a good time. I've heard some real mixed reviews.
In other art news, my very good friend here in Boston, Alexander DeMaria, is having a show at Julie Chae Gallery which has a VIP opening today and then a normal opening the first Friday in January. Fucking go to it! His art is fucking-out-of-control-awesome!
Otherwise: He and I went and saw The Sword, they and Valiant Thorr kicked a whole lot of ass. I got the Witchcraft/The Sword split and I honestly don't get the hype over Witchcraft. They're a pretty direct Pentagram/Sabbath knock off. The retrograde sound seems pretentious, too. Who knows, I'll give it another listen.
Almost forgot, here's my new bike:

Tuesday afternoon I leave for the west coast! Spokane from the 18th to the 29th and then Oakland the 30th through the 3rd. Should be pretty awesome! Maybe I'll see some folks.
