Quick edit: Go check out my Ebay auctions- mostly metal CDs, but I'll have some other stuff up soon, probably some clothes and a bit of vinyl. Go here: My Auctions
I went out with Bailey and Poppy the other night. It was real fun, though the hangover the next day wasn't all that enjoyable. That night I had a dream that I was being pursued by giant, sleek, black rats. The tips of their hairs were white and spiny, kind of like a porcupine's quills and their tales were short and kind of deformed - like skinny, fleshy tumors. Fucking weird. Undoubtedly she won't like this, but I think they were inspired by Poppy's dog and possibly the fact that I've been reading Thomas Pynchon as of late. So I had the worst night's sleep I've had in some time because I was constantly in that kind of half awake state and I couldn't tell if there were actually rats in my bed or not.
It also came up that night that all of my favorite photos are ass shots. I didn't realize the ratio was so diproportionate, but I guess it is. I think it wouldn't be the case if you couldn't fill up your favorites or if you didn't have to delete some to add more. Whatever, I won't deny that I'm a fan of the ass. It was also said that I'm hard to get to know or categorize. While I will disagree with the former and agree with the latter I will also continue to not be concerned with the matter in general.
On to other things. I have work in a couple of upcoming shows in the Boston area this summer so if you're around you should come check them out. June 12th to July 11th I'll have stuff in the Midway Exhibition here at MassArt in the Paine Gallery (cool name for a gallery btw). It's a bunch of people that I go to school with who are now halfway to an MFA, the reception is the 21st of June. I will also have work in New Art '07 at The Kingston Gallery which is in the south end with all the other Harrison St galleries. I don't know what all will be in this show, but I'm one of 27 out of 500 applicants who got in. The reception there is July 6th and it runs until August 4th. I'll be at both receptions if you wanna hang out afterwards or talk to me about art...or whatever else.
I've been on a number of dates recently, they've all been tepid at best and terrible at worst. What the fuck Boston? I finally get some free time and all your girls are lame? I've had more awkward conversations in the last two weeks than I can remember in a long time. Granted, getting to know someone new is generally awkward, but eventually you hope to have something to talk about. Nooooope.
My best friend is flying in to compete in a guitar competition at the New England Conservatory this coming Monday and he'll be here for a week. If you want to hang out with the two coolest people ever, let me know and I'll see if I can work you in. In addition to playing classical guitar, he also shreds it up in Obstruktor with some of my other good friends. They just finished their demo and it KILLS...go check them out: myspace.com/ObstruktorSpeedMetal
Oh, I would also like to give a big thank you to pdx_drunk for helping me out with a new headset for my bike. I fucking love riding my bike and I fucking love Portland and I fucking love nice people!
Finally, there are some good shows coming up in Worcester that I'd really like to see and I don't think I have a ride to them. SO...if you wanna go see Naglfar and Dark Funeral or Necrophagist and Arsis along with a shitload of other good bands - let me know! I really want to go fucking bad and have no way there and will buy you a beer or something (assuming I'm not so broke by then). No really.
