Well, one thing's for sure -- the MPC is a solid machine. A lot of good beats have been made on those.

As for midi controllers, I'd suggest something like this.
Lots of octaves, some knobs, some sliders... There's probably better/cheaper out there, but this was the first thing I thought of.

If I had 9,000,000, I'd move to the UK and spend it before you guys change over to the Euro.
