Ok so I live in the shitty city of Torrance(I also work for the city which sucks as well butthats not a point Im making right now). i am also restoring a 1966 dodge dart, well not so much restoring it as taking the fucked up paint off, rebuilding the engine and driving it in primer and straight exhaust so it will be ugly an loud...anyways I got a visit from the Environmental Control Officers the other day and aparently some fuckshit has been complaining about my car being an eyesore. so they looked through some obscure as fuck old laws and found a couple to hit me with.
Law 1: It is unlawfull to have a non-running car up on jackstands for any period of time.
Easy enough to fix I will set it back down on the tires, I only left it out because I knew I would have to lift it back up to put the engine/trans back in it. Apparently not good enough because...
Law 2: It is unlawfull to have a non-running car in your driveway at all for any length of time.
WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!? So if my Nissan Altima breaks down and i dont have the money to fix it for a few weeks, they will tow it away? "No only older cars." what the hell is that supposed to mean, my new car can sit around while I fix it but my old one cant? Thats bullshit. How are you suposed to make a non-running car run if you dont park it in your driveway and fix it? Maybe it is just me but that is one of the stupidest laws I have ever heard of. Maybe i should write a letter...too bad noone would read it.
In other news I was really excited this mourning when I remembered that the new bleeding though DVD came out on Oct. 1st. I went online to check the price before I went out and bought it when I was saddened to find out that not only did I misread that I comes out NOVEMBER 1st, but it now got pushed back to Nov. 15. I will just have to watch the old DVD tonight to get excited.
In the most positive news around, I have an appointmen for friday the 14th to get some more work done on my new tattoo project. After the outline heals fully I will get some pics because I dont have any of the old tattoo we are covering up, and maybe I will post them if you are lucky.
