So this might be my first seriously possitive entry in quite awhile.
After saving my pennies for about a year, I finally have my first mac...AND my first laptop. both rolled into one.
I was on Craigslist all weekend trying to get one and it seemed like I was always one email too slow. then thismornning I checked not even expecting to see anything and there was the posting for me, right on top so I was one of the first to see it. The guy had an Ibook G3, an Ibook G4 and a powerbook G4. At $500, $600 and $700 respectively. I was going to just go with the Ibook G3(seeing as I am going to be homeless pretty soon and need all the money I can get) but other than food and bills I havent bought myself a single thing in over a month...Well I got a book on Python coding, but thats more educational than pleasurable. Anyway I was the first person to respond and that meant I got first pick. since the G3 didnt have the wireless capability I went with the G4 Ibook. He mentioned that he had an airport card sitting around he would throw in for $40 so I decided that was my shit. Well he called me back about a halfhour later to tell me that while he was out his roomate sold my Ibook to someone else, but then I realized that for only $60 more than I was already going to pay I would get a PowerBook(what I really wanted to begin with.
Im sorry this is so long, but the keyboard feels so good to type on Im going to keep up my terrible spelling and rediculous grammer mistakes for a little longer...Its not like anyone will read this anyway.
Another great hing happened today, I got rid of the '66 dart I have had parked in the way for the last few months(since I got bored of trying to restore it) sure I pretty much gave it away, but with having to move pretty soon looking me in the face, I was about to take it down to the junkyard anyway.
It looks like my living situation might be solved soon. A guy I work with has a buddy that hasa loft(fancy way of saying a room over his garage that he converted to be a livable space) that I might rent for...well its about the same I was paying to live here, but with no roomates I guess ill pay the $600 to live there than the $1300 to live here.
Anyways while I am happier than happy I think I should end this before the power cuts out because some guy sold me a broken computer and my mood turns sour.
