So I didnt have too much time to acctually learn anything in linux this week due to how frustrated I got last weekend. Im back on it right now and, I dont know........I think i just made the wrong choice with how to go about starting it. I bought this magazine called Getting Started With Linux, and it came with openSUSEand 5 disks worth of jargon. turns out its the free version of all of everything so whenever I try to use a program(play a CD or DVD) nothing has the right codec. also I am having a hell of a time trying to install.....anything really. Tried installing bittorent but it is just a file that i cant figure out what to do with, and even if I could figure that out I wouldnt have the damn codec to play whatever it is I DL.
Perhaps I should have posted that in the freenix group, maybe I will when I get more frustrated.
Its been pretty mellow around here, thankfully. I talked to an old friend of mine(one of the only ones I have left) and ended up boring her a great deal. I used to like talking on the phone to friends, but maybe realizing that most of my friends are(were before I moved to this shitty shitty city) smoking hot girls, phone calls seem like such a ripoff.
