Just got back form the Social Distortion show - a band i have followed since they were crashing on couches and drcing arund a remodeled school bus.
if they had played only my two fav songs of their s i would have been happy - Mommy's Little Monster and Telling Them - but they went on...not as long as i would have liked but i got what i wanted most of all as they even opened with Mommy's Little Monster - one of the first Social D songs ever recorded (sadly this song seemed to inspire the crowd less than some of their later tunes)
I do have to say i absolutely hate the Warfield though. One of the worst venues ever - only beeen there twice before tonight, but never knew that you had to specify for general admission to get on the floor. So I was stuck inn a seat in the balcony ready to make a dive off into the real action if Acheron had not held me down. As it is i am sure whoever uses my seat next will find several broken springs in it as i did some jumping up and down there to perhaps an excessive level isn some people's eyes...
I am bad with song names and even worse at trying to put togethr a set list, but the last two were excellent - with Ring of Fire (necessary as a tribute to the man in black if nothing else) and the finale of "The Story Of My Life" i have very little voice a very sore neck and it is 1 am and i am still so amped i am not sure hwo to begin to wind down....fucking great is all i can say - even if i was stuck in a seat....
