Waiting... waiting... and waiting... I am not a patient guy to begin with. But to sit in line, starving, that makes it not even worth eating at that restaurant. Sure I could have went in. But then I would have ate to much and had no leftovers, and I like left overs.
When the line finally cleared and I got to the intercom, I order the wrong meal. I normally get my favorite, a bacon mushroom swiss burger. But noo I had to try something I don't normally eat, fried bell peppers. They made me sick. Maybe it was the way they were cooked. Maybe it was the EXCESSIVE time it took to complete the order, or maybe I just don't like fried bell peppers.
Doesn't really matter what resturante I go to. Though the view in this new crew In drive through, was very attractive. Toward the end, it's all about location location location. First, I like to eat my meals in peace, piece by piece. Second I like to eat in the safety of the car, BEHIND closed doors. So when I order the wrong thing I can get well and not have to embarrass not only myself, but whole chain of resturantes on the street.
I am glad I got to try a new place. I am happy i got to meet a new crew. I am sad I got sick in public view. I had a plan, go through drive through. Break bread with the crew. Then get lost and focus on how to make my life better. It took so long to complete my order and get back to the street, that it forgot what my the goal, staying on schedule. It doesn't have to be perfect timing but at least fast enough so the kids don't start whining.
