I saw a sign up today. One of those stupid "George Bush '04" pickets in someones yard, and it was HUGE so everyone could see. Over it the owners of this property spray-painted "VICTORY" in bright orange. This got me thinking. New events have sprung up involving my niece. 2 MAJOR blood donation plants have been shut down due to lack of funds, now the only place to get plasma infusions are in major cities, and Europe. Nowhere else. And millions are being denied this medical treatment they so direly need. Luckily my niece, being of a delicate age (3) will still be able to receive her infusions and live a semi-normal life. Until another plant gets shut down. How is it, that our "elected" officials can spend 8 BILLION dollars on a war, have a health care agenda for the nation they are destroying, and ignore the issue on their own soil? This doesn't make sense to me. Where is the victory in that? I would like that fucker to explain to my 3 year old niece why there is no funding for these plants, why she is now in even more danger of not getting the medical attention she needs, why she could possibly die. Explain to her why it's a victory. Please.
