I had no idea Flux was leaving. My strings hurt.
A million years ago (well, like four) I used to spy into sg through a friend's account. And I saw Flux's Dune set. And I will never, ever forget it. And hopefully I will never, ever forget her.
Flux was (is, but speaking in past tense for affect) someone whom I both looked up to and was secretly intimidated by. *I'm* the smart, cute girl in my little town. And here's this incredibly brilliant, beautiful, funny, damaged person, just like me. It was very threatening and exciting, also, to know that now I had someone I could hope to identify with.
I hope I can find her and tell her all this to her face some day. Wow.

About this blog, I didn't have feelings about Flux specifically, but I can relate to the kind of disappointment you describe. In a sense, it can sound weird to miss someone you've never met, but I know what you're talking about. The people to whom we are attached (in ways big and small) are often irreplacable.
