The ThouShaltNot video shoot was immensly fun, interesting, and exhausting. Our crew from Germany was wonderfully patient and only one of them spoke enough English to communicate with us. We shot at night here in my yard (Speaking of my backyard, I'm so jubilant about Squeak's Lawn Gnome set going up! In fact, if you'll indulge me in a moment of selfishness, I have a secret cameo! Behold:
Yes, immensely happy.) and also shot down by a some nearby scary railroad tracks. We had a professional makeup artist and I was corpseified and carried into and out of the trunk of my car countless times.
Saturday the band played at the Trocodero with Information Society and I got to go backstage, which was exciting because I'd never been backstage at the Troc before. Kurt, the singer of Information Society, is married to my acquaintance Squeaks (not Squeak, it's just a coincidence they're both mentioned, although slightly weird also) but yes anyway, they are married and I met him years ago at the Fiddler's Green convention and he remembered me and I was terribly flattered. And, yes, as the final encore they played Pure Energy and I was so joyously elated that I hopped around and waltzed with Alex.
Afterwards we all went out to a diner and I didn't get to bed until 4 AM and it was wonderful.
Now my house is empty again and that is also very very nice. I have a lot of eBay books to photograph.
Much Love
