I'll preface this by saying that my cottage is freezing cold, and will remain that way until I seal it up for the winter. My eensy paws are stiff and red.
I've been up to tons of things lately. Let's see if I can give it some semblance of organization here.
I have my very first group, which is really exciting. Join, if you're interested, to discuss antique medical equipment.
I'm losing this stupid contest because:
I went to Ohio. I met some very wonderful women. The thing about taking risks is that they're just that: risks. Things aren't guaranteed to come out for the best. Sometimes they don't. It's all part of the adventure. I spent a lot of time with Sunshine, JoLeigh, Iso, AlissaBrunelli, Meow, Luscious, Adalae, and probably a million other people who I haven't listed and will therefore hate me forever. It was a wonderful adventure and I really want to see some photos soon, Alissa.
My friend Mike and his incredible band Rosetta played at my store recently and it was a remarkable show. I had fun taking this stop-motion video:
And some photos:
This is what my store looks like:
And here is a funny record I found:
Let's see, what else?
Halloween was fun and not. I was vending illustrations at a big goth event. I ran into Voltaire once again, and I got to see a LOT of really interesting costumes. I prepped for the even for weeks and only made about 50 dollars. The room was so smoky that my eyes hurt. But I looked neat:
As did Goontastic:
And it was fun.
Here is my cat, Malady:
Underneath a giant drawing by George Pratt, one of my favorite illustrators. Fun fact I was just telling Manko: Malady has a famous-ish comic book character named after him. She looks like this:
And was invented by my close friend Ross and you should go to the 'doodles and sketches' section of his site and look at all the stupid comics we used to draw together.
Here are parts of my house:
The window sill in my living room:
And my WC:
(The small tube next to the saccharin is my whisker collection.)
Okay, I'm tuckered. Time for bed and the hot water bottle that is tempting me from between the quilts. I love you and goodnight.
