I was going to give King Kong a miss, due to it's 3+ hours of length, and the fact that it's been given so-so reviews. Then my friend Heather told me I should see it because it's an entire movie about me.
So I went to see it last night, and I have to say, it's a very good movie. It's not GREAT, as the script could have used a LOT of editing, but visually it's amazing. Jackson's effects management and scene setups win again, more than making up for any problem I might have had with the film (ie Jack Black's lines as Carl).
Definitely see this is a theatre. It's got good sound and visual effects that need a big screen. Also, it's a real sad ending movie, so you can have your date cry on your shoulder. this goes for the ladies, too, I'm sure a few of your boyfriends might bawl like a little bitch
