I thought for my first blog homework, I would do the 10 facts about me so you all can get to know me! This will be a little long, I tend to go on rants, but you will for sure get to know me from this blog (: Thanks @rambo and @missy for the blog homework!

Now let's see....where do I start...

1. I am in mortuary school! I thought this was the best thing to start with. There aren't too many female morticians (although there are more and more joining the business everyday). Whenever I tell someone that I am in school for mortuary science, I get one of two responses; "oh wow that is so cool!" OR "That is weird, I would be scared". Never fails, those are the two most common responses. I really love the funeral business, it is one of the oldest industries, and well people are just dying to get in ;) on a more serious note though, I take what I do very seriously. I treat each body as if it was my loved one, I take one of the most difficult times in someone's life and i try to make it easier. I couldn't imagine doing anything else <3

2. I have a house full of animals! I have a mouse, a boxer, a poodle mix, a bunny, a cat, and two turtles. (yes i live in a zoo) i love all of them as if they were my children. I actually rescued my bunny from the side of the road around easter time. She was so pretty and so scared from all the cars zooming past. I could not leave her, I had to save her. She has been one of my children ever since! I try to rescue all of my animals because they don't have anyone else. I know what that is like.

3. I used to self-injure myself when I was a teenager. This is the first time in my life when I can say that and know someone on SG can relate. I had a hard time coming to terms with who I am and all of my feelings. I can happily say that I have 3 year self injury free.

4. I am totally prepared for the zombie apocalypse. i have a "go-bag" sitting in our closet full of things for the apocalypse. Everything in this bag MUST serve AT LEAST 3 purposes, otherwise it does not go in the bag. i have a nice fire starter, a spoon that also serves as a screwdriver and bottle opener. I also have a very nice machete ready to chop off some zombie heads, firewood, and any fences that I may need to get through. Oh, almost forget about all of my zombie guide books (: I am still adding to my go-bag everyday and I always love input, so if you have any suggestions, let me know xoxo

5. I have dabbled a little bit in special effects makeup. I am not great by any means, but it is a really fun thing to do in my free time. I think it is one of the coolest art forms. It's like transforming something ordinary into something extraordinary, which is pretty much any form of art, but something about it grabs my attention more than anything else. You should definitely give me a follow so you can see all of the makeup i will be doing around Halloween (:

6. I am a ballerina! Or at least I used to be :( I started dancing when I was around 3 and I have not really stopped. I may not be in a company but that doesn't stop me from dancing around my house (in my undies of course). Dancing and music are my escapes for sure. Dancing is another way that I express my emotions, and it is a great way to stay in shape. Whether it is ballet, jazz, tap, or hip hop; I love them all.

7. I love to watch movies! It doesn't matter if it is a beautiful sunny day or a rainy gloomy evening, more often than not, you will find me cuddled in a ball watching a movie. It is always hard for me to come up with a favorite movie because i like so many. Tim Burton films are usually my go-to, then of course anything sci-fy. I love suggestions on movies, however, I can not get down with romantic movies. Hate those.

8. HOMEBODY!! Now don't get me wrong, I love to go on adventures and going to fun events, but after a few hours all I can think about is being at home. Probably a big reason for this is my anxiety. I do have a lot of fun wherever I go, and I am full of laughs, but, as i said before, after a couple of hours I am just longing to be home. I love to be around familiar surroundings and all of my fur babies. My bed and my sofa are my safe havens. Quite a change from when i was a child, back then I found any excuse to leave my house. But now that I have my own, I just want to be in it. <3

9. I am actually a licensed hair stylist! I went to cosmetology school around the age of 19 and was licensed shortly after. While I am not practicing in a salon, i love to change up my hair. Although the funeral business does not allow me to have any of the colors i want, I still push the boundaries. I try to keep up with the trends and keep my license up to date, it is my backup plan if anything should go wrong with my chosen career. 10. Tea over coffee any day! My girlfriend is a coffee lover so naturally I tried to drink it with her. Coffee just does not agree with me. I am a tea drinker all the way. Whether it is black tea, green tea, or herbal tea I love it. I like to say that I am the Grand Master Tea Wizard because no one can make tea quite like I do. One day I would really like to make my own loose tea bags, but until then I always have at least two bags of tea in my tea cup (I collect antique teacups).

Woaahhh that was actually a little difficult to think of 10 random facts about myself....I tried to think of things that are about my personality over my interests.....Hope you all enjoyed it xoxo
