I was taking a pee on the paper today and started thinking about the war, more prescisely the disingenuous nature of our stance in armed conflict...most of my friends at the dog park are with me in thinking that the war to stand up to terrorism is more a war of bending forward and grabbing our ankles...this is a world that, for racial, religous, economic, or gastronomic reasons.... hates us...what revenge is there for victims of 9/11, the families of all the fallen, for the GNP of a medium-sized country that we are spending on this war. The problem in prosecuting it is the guy's who seem o.k. in the day are the ones trying to blow you up at night.......are the huge sums to rebuild Iraq going to lead to destroying terrorists ability to project violence....or enhance it. Twenty years from now if I die in a Petsmart bombing will i find solace that my taxes gave the bomber a lifetime of good dental care, and a healthy 401k....
