Well, to my surprise, the SG hopeful who asked me to shoot her (pro bono), not only didn't show up at 8:30am, she is not responding to the phone or texts.  If you commit to a photographer, you should know that he/she/the team spends time and energy preparing for a shoot.....    imagine carrying lights, stands, camera equipment (up and down stairs)  to get them in place....  and possibly purchasing props and pulling wardrobe....  Purchasing food for the team - The least a model can do is be honest and if they are deciding to back out, don't wait until the last minute to inform the team preparing to shoot her.
