I'm a huge animal lover but the latest topic from @missy and @rambo kind of bums me out a tiny bit because I don't actually have a pet of my own right now. Until recently, my (ex) boyfriend and I had an arctic wolf-malamute-shephard-lab mix named Mishka, who I love very dearly, but when we broke up she stayed with him, since he had raised her when before we were living together/while I was abroad.
And while I was living in Spain I adopted a street kitten, Gypsy, who was my very best friend even though I'm usually more of a dog person. I even got him a passport and arranged for him to fly home with me, but he ran away the day before I left the country, so I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I still miss him a ton though, he was such a lover.
On the bright side, I spend a lot of time on at my family's farm, so I get to hang out with my dad's dog, Badger, a lot. He's a snugglebutt husky and I love him to death.
We also have a llama, some goats, lot's of chickens, and some geese at the farm and we just got the cutest little piglet, Kiko!
I still want a dog REALLY bad, and actually was seriously considering this adorable 3-legged pooch at my local shelter, but I'm about to head out on a 6 month road trip around the US and my travel companion was skeptical about bringing along a canine friend, so it'll have to wait. It's really hard to balance my love for animals with my love for travel!
So that's what I have to say about pets! In other news my debut set will be in MR in ONE WEEK so keep an eyeball out for it!
