Did I ever tell you guys why I got my Pocahontas tat on my back? Well I was 18 and my best friend and I decided to cross an 8 lane highway . The main highway coming into Santabarbra California to go smoke weed in the middle divider of the highway. So we managed to find the smallest gap among the 85 mile an hour constant traffic and made it to the divider. Which was just big bushes every three feet with gravel and a curb on each side. So cars were just flying by like 4 feet away from us on either side. We started singing the grandmother willow song from Pocahontas. "Steady as a drum. Let it break upon you like the waves across the sand" and smoked a fat bowl of chronic. It was the beginning of a crazy journey she and I had and after that we headed north to Mendocino and lived there for two years. She means the world to me and I never wanted to forget that day. And the freedom we had found.
