Spring has exploded all over our faces!
its glorious and unexpected.
since thursday the temperature has been rising from 21 to today's hot and sunny 29C!
yay. i love warm weather, even if it is unseasonal. I just can't get the hang of winter.
everything is green and lovely, the sent of flowers on the breeze, blue sky with wispy clouds now and then <3
it's too hot to do outdoor activities during the day but that's fine we sit on the steps to our tiny garden drinking iced wine and talking in the evenings. watching birds and hedgehogs.
we've seen 2 in our garden simultaneously. they are so sweet.
last night we decided to go for a group night ride and we rode far into the city using smaller streets and taking random turns. Early on Jula's tube exploded but the guys were prepared and we were back on the trail in a couple of minutes.
I really enjoy riding at night, one of the obvious reasons is less traffic, but it's also a bit mysterious and magical. We saw another hedgehog, Chris saw a squirrel and we saw something freaky which i noticed was approaching us before it disappeared between parked cars. I shouted to the boys ahead to watch out for the cat, tho i knew it wasn't a cat at all. it's silhouette when i first saw it creeped me out a bit, it had long spindly legs, thin, longish body, huge, bat-like ears and a long thin tail like a rats. it was maybe a little bigger than a beagle. It was carrying something in its mouth. When it ran across the road i tried to get a better look at it but it was too fast and all i got was the impression that it was missing a lot of hair.
I guess it was an emaciated diseased fox or some kind of alien-fetus-cat-rat-monster mix
Today we are going to be continuing with our d&d game. I need to get a job soon, but right now i'm enjoying the holiday atmosphere. If only i could go to the sea! or a lake! or somewhere to swim! my kingdom for a swim!
