things i have seen or heard recently and my thoughts on them, a summary:
Wristcutters: this movie is the shit. the atmosphere is beautiful. Tom Waits is beautiful.
Rocknrolla: no. just no. 2 hours of absolutely nothing at all. go away Mr. Ritchie you lost it a long time ago.
Buena Vista Social Club: i do not know why it took me 10 years to get round to watching this movie. iv listened to the music enough. *shrugs* everyone knows this is awesome.
Spy Game: watched this again last night coz chris hadnt seen it before. still rocks hard.
Sukiyaki Western Django: ohmygodohmygodohmygod!!! this movie is a big resounding YES! a film full of japanese cowboys-cross-samurai speaking in exagerrated japenglish accents where the only white person in the whole movie is Tarantino (also speaking in said accent) and theres so many anime references! and its so beautiful. and just. wha! if you're awesome you will watch this. thank you Takashi Miike.
