just try keeping up a journal, commenting on the threads and in others journals. join some local groups, maybe even show up to some events. i was in the same boat as you. everyone on my friends list i've met with the exception of about 3. through SG, i've got friends to chill with all over the US and Europe. get out there and make the most of the site.
