I got totally side tracked searching on eBay this afternoon. I was actually looking around the internet for some real human teeth. I fancy buying a few nice molars. I'm not sure what I want to do with them though.
Anyway, in the search I came across this book on ebay. I want to buy it so bad, and if I wasn't already getting 3 hours of tattoo work on my garden bird themed forearm sleeve for my birthday on August 5th, I'd be asking for this. Just thought I'd share this and a few other random internet things with you:
From the auction.
"
The Naturalist's Library. Conducted by William Jardine, Bart.
Entomology Volume IV.
British Moths, Sphinxes etc
by James Duncan.
Published in Edinburgh by W.H.Lizars, London by S.Highley and Dublin by W.Curry in 1836.
Half-title, engraved portrait frontispiece, additional engraved and hand-coloured title page, 268 pages and 29 finely hand-coloured engraved plates of moths.
A single volume from the extensive work on natural history commonly known as Jardine's Naturalist's Library.
This volume on moths, complete in itself.
Attractively bound in later 19th century half calf with marbled sides and endpapers, two spine labels and full gilt decoration on the spine.
Minor rubbing to the extremities of the binding.
Neatly written contemporary ink ownership signature in the upper margin of the engraved title page.
Internally clean and sound and with the binding in very good condition.
The book measures 17cm by 11cm."
I'm pretty obsessed with moths, and this book is just so gorgeous.
Speaking of teeth, I came across these teeth tunnels on etsy. Pretty brilliant, if you ask me.
and some photos of me from the weekend. I really need to dye my dread roots.
and also, I love this frog skeleton. I posted it on my tumblr ages ago and came across the image in a random folder on my desktop today.
Basically, this blog is full of nothing. I'm just wasting time while the baby is napping. Still feeling quite down about a lot of things, but I suppose that is life. I cannot believe I am turning 27 in less than two weeks.
My mom bought me this hoodie for my birthday, and I can't wait to get it.
25% of the proceeds will be donated directly to PangeaSeed, supporting their anti-shark finning campaign. Here's the link if you want to buy one for yourself. http://www.ecojoia.com/index.php/stores/product-detail/ecojoia/257
