Howdy, so I've literally just got back from Manchester, been up there since Friday visiting my little brother.
I always like Manchester, there's always so much going on and it just really nice to hang with Gareth, I never get to see him. He's finished his second year at Uni, now he's just kinda hanging around, working and waiting to move into his new student house... Which hopefully will be cleaner than the current one!
We had quite a cultural day yesterday, we went to a village fete, which was kinda in celebration of the end of QueerUpNorth, which has been going on for about three weeks, I think.... He was so cool, he won a coconut on the coconut shy.. Then we hung out with Red, his super cool friend, and we went to an exhibition at the Urbis, it was for Icelandic street art, but it was tiny, so we went to see an exhibition on Hong Kong, marking the 10 year anniversary since the handover from Britain to China, which was really good actually, if you get chance, go see it.
Then, we went and saw a film called 'Wild Tigers I Have Known', which is really gorgeous and impressionistic, really beautifully shot. Quite touching and poignant.
But my feet are killing me, my super cute new Vans have rubbed the back of my heels, so now they are all bloody and gross. I will be all bandaged up for a few days I think..
But, tomorrow, I have a job interview after work..... I'm quitely confident, I think I should get it, and I know I'd be super ace at it, but I'm not telling what it is yet, in case I don't get it... It's quite random how I got the interview.. If all goes well, I shall tell the story.
Wish me luck!
