I'm out of green tea!!
Its too far (and too hot) to walk to the grocery store with the baby. Ugh.
Mechanics said it will take 10 days or so for the parts from the States to get here for the car. A guesstimate on parts/labor total is about $430, but of course, I'm sure labor will be alot more intensive than was originally thought thus upping the figure.
I think (as is obvious from my last journal) that I allow other's expectations and opinions to weigh too heavily on my mind. Thats why Fay. is somewhere I won't choose to settle down...anywhere too close to a military base isn't ideal.
My husband was talking to one of his teachers at this training school and found out he used to work in the White House in the position that my husband wants to apply for. Well, dude passed him numbers and told him he could drop his name to help him through the door. I'm really excited and hoping that this is something that will pan out for him after he comes back. He has the computer background and they really want those that have already been to Iraq since it is a relatively cushy job that doesn't involve field training, deployments, and such.
Did I mention, the husband said he wants to go to Vegas during leave in Sept. It seemed to me our car getting towed and preparing to be fixed was our Vegas trip $$. But he is determined, so we are going to be tightening down on the spending...actually I suggested just putting $200 in savings every payday because other kinds of budgeting don't work well with us.
He said he wants to do Vegas right since when we got married there I was 3 mos along and drinking and overall debauchery couldn't be had.
I'd love to go but I think hitting female strip clubs with him when he knows how I feel will be somewhat awkward. Not awkward enough for me not to go, ha, but, you know. Mixed feelings about the trip and outcome.
