feeling good
after the surge of engery i had last night, i'm feeling good.
doing the right thing is invigorating. <3
i made myself a list, and i've researched some simple meditations and yoga salutes.
i'm pretty amped about my deciding to continue my search for spirituality.
growing up in a religiously oppressive family messed me up for most of my life. i never wanted to learn about the teachings of others. i always pictured jesus as a stuck up self rightious lunitic. i saw him as a faker and a fraud.
i am by no means a christian.
if anything, i suppose i'm jewish, and i'm pretty awful at that.
the people in my life have always treated religion and faith more as a cult than anything. i've always been against doing things because someone says you should or because it makes you feel less alone.
i won't get in to my rants on christianity or judaism or anything like that.
i don't want to offend anyone.
i have studied the bible, the torah, and the koran at length.
a lot of things in them i do agree with. i respect and honor the prophets, and jesus as a man.
i see most of the stories as fables though. i think people take a lot of that stuff way too to heart.
tangent tangent....
back on track.
i made a list today
here it is :
"Quinnas Steps To Self Recovery"
*stop eating meat entirely. the guilt is getting to you, and it is just WRONG.
*follow through with my idea to re embrace my straight edge ideals
*find out about youth outreach and get involved, the time has come to live for other people, you live to much for yourself...you are far to concerned with who is doing you wrong and how much you are suffering. this needs to stop.
*meditation.
*learn to forgive. let GO.
*compassion
*continue with vow of abstainance.
*buy journal
*start making art. art = expression, expression = release
*yoga
i'll write more later
