While most of my friends and family are dealing with sub-zero temperatures and the biting chill of winter at northern latitudes, I am here staring out at the rain. I should be doing work but, instead, I find myself contemplating why I am different... the convoluted set of life choices that brought me here. I could very well be in Delaware right now at a dead-end job, birthing children, following in the footsteps of much of my family. How is it that I see options where others haven't? How have I prodded and guided my fate? How am I different?

So, you're in grad school. Were you at the U of A for your your entire college career, or are you new to Tucson? I am always interested in first impressions of Tucson, seeing as I have been here my whole life.
