Well we did go to Disneyland yesterday. It turned out to be a bit of a struggle getting started and a "time out" was eventually called for. We were supposed to be taking two of his buddies with us but he decided he didn't want them to go. After talking to their mom and her assurance that it wouldn't be an big deal for them I let him call that shot. (gotta pick your battles) After a little conversation and a makeup hug we set out. It was a really good day. He got a bit scared actually waiting in line for space mountain. I told him if he really wanted to we could go out the exit instead (it had been a 60 minute wait at that point). He decided to do it and screamed the whole time it was going. As we pulled in I asked him if it was fun or scary. Without missing a beat he replied "Both." I couldn't help grinning.
I had to take him with me to a session this morning. He doesn't mind usually since he can watch a movie on the laptop while I record. I just feel badly because I know that's got to be kind of a drag for a little kid. I have to take him to two more tomorrow back to back. I know it will get better once school is back in session but still..
I made the changes to the settlement agreement that my lawyer suggested and am waiting for his ok before I send it back to my ex's lawyer. I talked to her today and she seems ok with it all. The next step now is getting her name off the mortgage and pulling half the equity in the house out to buy her out (and that's gonna be BIG).
All in all, things seem to be coming together though. I'm not really sure if I'm happy or sad at the moment. Maybe I should take a cue from my boy and just say "Both".
Update: I logged on tonight and my SG friend coi was gone
