I don't realy have much to talk about today but I wanted to get my depressing funeral talk off the Journal page. I'm taking my son to see my ex in her show tonight. I had decided a while ago that I wasn't going to see it but she really wanted him to and I couldn't very well send him with someone else. She is playing the witch in "Into the woods" I had thought my relationship with Stephen Sondheim had ended when she left but evidently it hasn't. So I get to sit through this thing tonight. Then he goes home with her until Saturday (or Friday. She has a thing to go to and I may take him early) The first day is always the hardest so tomorrow may be kind of down.
On the up side people are trying to fix me up now. It's kind of funny really. Got a call from a friend of a friend the other day. She had asked if she could give her my number and I had told her she could. We may meet this week sometime. I have ben assured that she is a great gal and she seemed nice enough on the phone but I had just heard about my friend Peter's murder and wasn't feeling terribly chatty. She was pretty cool about that so points for her there.
Got an out of the blue call from Kim (see crush in my profile). She was on her way to Vegas for work but wanted to say hi. I have pretty much given up on a relationship with her other than being friends. She has said in no uncertain terms that she is moving back to New York in two years, so I am fairly sure she won't be emotionally available for anything more during that time and I am not going to push it.
Ran into my Friend Jeff at an audition on Thursday. He asked me if I was dating yet. I told him not really, but yes. He wants to fix me up with his sister. I thought that was kind of sweet. She's a single mom and our kids have played together in the past. Although she is attractive she has always seemed kind of angry. I don't know if I need that kind of energy in my life. Still maybe it was just her circumstances during the times we have met.
And finally (on this topic anyway) I missed a call from my friend Jessica (who also does voice over). That is significant to me in that she just called. I was under the impression that she wasn't interested in me romantically (and honestly I am too old for her. She's 25) but she sounded a little jealous whe I asked her if she knew whether Cree (Summer) was married when we had talked a few days ago. They work together a lot so I thought she might know. She told me Cree is very much in love with her boyfriend and that she didn't think she was really my type since she's kind of a hippie. I probably read too much into her response but hey, I'm rusty on the whole dating thing. The fact that she just called to say hi on a Saturday night from Vegas (everyone is in vegas this weekend it seems) says something. No?
Ok, long, rambling and pointless but I needed to update and there it is.

I don't think anyone has ever tried to set me up with a friend, acquaintance, or co-worker. Perhaps they reserve my company solely for their enemies.
