Had a really nice chat with _Twitch_ and Nofi on Thursday. Thanks for calling and it wasn't even a Friday night! I would have been around for some phone tag last night but a friend of mine had a birthday and I promised to go to the party. It was at an "actors" bar in the valley. Even when I wa a struggling young actor myself those places made my skin crawl. The miasma of desperation fills the air. (Shudder). But I wished him a happy birthday, bought him a drink and chatted with some of his buddies. Then flew out of there at warp speed.

I have been cooking garlic. I have a secret recipe. You know the crunchy garlic bits you get on top of a garlic bagel when you toast it? I make big batches of those only they taste better. My agents have come to expect a jar of them at Christmas and I didn't get to it this year.
One of them has been half jokingly hinting around about it so I finally made a batch while my son was at my ex's.

The main drwaback to cooking two pounds of garlic just by itsself is that it is sort of like setting off teargas in your house. (Thus waiting for a week when my son is not here) and the delicious odor lingers for days and, honestly, becomes less delicious the longer it lasts.

My GF came by after work last night on her way home and only stayed for 5 minutes because of the smell. Needless to say I will be spending as much of today as I can out of the house and I'm leaving all of the windows open.
