Interesting. Well, being the never-say-die nerd that I am, I have been putting off that 2nd laptop purchase for some time now. Can I say how glad I am that I waited? I figured out a few loopholes in my work-issued laptop, and now I am surfing via the wireless card that will be about 1/60th of the cost. Not only that, I now have access rights to install software and have the ability to actually use the DVD player that this thing has built in to it. 
Ok, so it's a day later and I just got home from Best-Buy. I got the wireless card, and installed it. I'm surfing from my couch now. It's nice. The idiot at Best-Buy told me that it wouldn't work...he said with a g card, I couldn't surf from b networks. I looked at him...looked at the box...looked back at him...looked back at the box and then I pointed to it and read "Works with all b devices" then I looked back at him and just stared. I thought it was funny.
