Yesterday I fasted, walked bare foot six miles, mostly up hill, and watched "Gandhi"
I know it's stupid, but it felt good to rid myself of excess for one day, even though I did rent a movie, but I waled six miles for it and I have two blisters to prove it.
I went in to "Frisco" today, had lunch with some friends then went to north beach, did some reading at City Lights Bookstore, then I read the paper at an Italian bistro. After that I visted my favorite strip club, the "Lusty Lady." Those girls are hot and its a co-op and the girls are unionized.
I'm still unemployed, but I have an interview tomorrow and I'm filling out another application for a rad job in Oakland tonight.
I would really like to go surfing some time soon, I really miss the water, it puts my soul at ease. It's the one time during the kaos of modern life that I can forget about everything, even myself and just be one with the elements. Sounds phony until you experience it.
To my regret I listened to Bush's stae of the union address last night. I can't believe he can spout the rhetoric he does and keep a straight face. Coming from someone who voted for Nader in 2000, I will support anyone, except maybe Joe Lieberman, against Bush.
Enough poltics. I tried to write some more of my memior tonight, but I can't seem to get anything going.
until next time,
peace everyone,
elliot
