heya,
sorry I didn't get back to YOU sooner, i've been real busy here too. Thanks for your sweet comments regarding the Mercster! I absolutely could not imagine not being in his life full time. I mean the way I see it is he's an extension of me, and I think back to when I was a kid and how it would have sucked ass to have parents that really weren't all that into being parents. Not that my parents were perfect or anything, cause they werent, but I try to make sure that he has everything he needs, and has a fun life. Today was his first day of pre-school. he was soooo pumped for it too! he just loves being around other kids. it was kind of wierd though for me because i think alot of the parents were kind of wierded out by my appearance(full sleeves on both arms, both legs, and all the way around my neck except the front, not to mention the stretched ears etc.). oh well, nothing new, its just that i want to be recognized as the good dad that i am (and not some crazy that has no business in a pre-school). anyways, they'll get over it.............or not.
so you have a lampworking kit eh? actually that is the type of glassblowing that i do (and it is most definately considered glassblowing!) there are several different methods of glassblowing, and lampwoking aka flameworking is one. i use a big Carlisle "CC" burner torch, as well as a couple other smaller ones.
The type of glassblowing that Dale Chihuly does is called "off hand" glassblowing. He runs a school in Bellingham,WA called Pilchuck. it's one of the best in the world and very expensive. He actually lost his eye in a car accident and lost his depth perception, so he doesn't actually blow glass anymore. he designs the stuff on paper and has his apprentices do all the work. he is a glass master! so as far as people losing eyes and stuff while glassblowing, it's not that likely.
oh by the way, you have great looking junk. it looks so...........................great!
well looks like i'm rambling now!
talk to you later!

i know how you felt on the whole dress code thing. after spring break my senior year, ooltewah high tried to change and enforce a new dress code with only a few weeks of school left. all shirts had to be tucked in, no writing on shirts, no shorts, and a bunch of other things. it was a mess. none of the teachers would inforce it because they knew nobody would buy new clothes at the end of the school year. the year after i graduated they went to dress pants and polo shirts, put up a 10ft chain link fence w/barb wire, and hired a guard to watch the front gate. i think after all of the school shootings it has got even more strict now. i know how you feel about the abc order. when some one messes up my dvds, it puts me in a mood.

I don't have any suggestions for the laptop, I'm not a computer wizz. good luck with that and enjoy the rest of your weekend . smile

i didn't post in here yesterday cause i was fucking mad as hell and who wants to hear me bitch? no one. so i felt much better yesterday after playing ball with multiple doggies and zipping around the city in my trusty honda blaring CCR. yes, that would be Creedence Clearwater Revival.

hrm. i always worried about whether or not i remembered to take mine. i finally just said fuck it and quit 4 days ago. im liking life better now. but, then again, i was only on a minimal dose of paxil for major depression....but i've always been the sad type, so it was just a temporary thing.....my sadness isnt going away....it isnt that kinda thing......its the artistic quirky sadness, and not the hospitalitable kinda sadness......at least, i think thats what it is......nonetheless.......

when i was younger and involved with my parent's baptist church, i used to do mission work in slums all over the US, and i agree with you, you can totally tell the kids that are from worried homes.....and it is sad....and it made me sad and glad to be around them....mostly just sad when i had to let them leave and go back home. i learned how to juggle and do magic tricks and act silly. i would just try and get them to laugh at me for as long as possible. i hated the fact that i knew they wouldnt laugh for long. it was like the only laughs they knew were accusatory and angry laughs....they didnt know how to laugh and be laughing for the sake of laughing.....or maybe that doesnt make sense....
nonetheless....

yer good for doing that stuff smile

dont throw up. biggrin

long day! daniel accidentally took my pet sitting keys to work with him, so i made an impromptu visit to the roastery. then doggie visits and then to the rescue to feed the buns since debbie is on vacation- which she desperatly needed... it took me over two hours to feed the buns (there are about 35-40 bunnies there), fill water bottles, fill pellet bowls,...

busy weekend indeed - shit, I haven't been to a Lollapalooza in... well, a long damn time wink

The Joy Division box is amazing, it strikes me more now than it did before how much these guys impacted music - can hear so many bands from now in this music that was recorded two decades ago (and more). Sigh... good stuff, I tell you.

Yeah, I don't know what to tell you about LA. I've been through Atlanta a few times over the years, I've lived all over the US it seems. Anyone who isn't here is kinda missing out, and not just from the SG perspective... thanks for the well wishes though, I'm looking forward to meeting some new peeps as well as the usual SGLA suspects...
