Well I'd like to introduce you all to my dragon. It's not mine (yet) but I will make it mine when I get the money to add it to my back.
Now for the real news, my great uncle died on the 3rd. The same day my sister got married. I just found out about him today.
How do I feel? I'm a little sad that he's gone. I called my great aunt to offer my condolences. I stayed with them in my first year of university way back when. I would have gone down to go to the funeral but he didn't want a service, so they cremated him and there won't be one. I didn't really know him very well though. We didn't really talk much. So I'm a little sad.
My sister got married. I am very excited about this. They are great for each other. It was a beautiful service and an even better reception. He's a Newfie so it was a great party. I had the opportunity to play at their ceremony. I put a brass quintet together and it went okay. We covered really well, so no one else really knew. I was super nervous. So how's this for trust- my sister heard none of the music before the ceremony. Nothing. She didn't worry about it and left it up to me to sort out. She wasn't like "bridezilla" by any stretch but she had everything planned in her head. Every single detail. Everything. That made me proud. Afterwards, when we were dancing at the reception, she told me the music made the ceremony perfect for her. That also made me proud. Anyways, enough mushy. Suffice it to say that it was a beautiful day in Edmonton for my family.
In other news, I have a friend who has just separated from her husband. I have mixed feelings on that.
Cajun flavoured cashews are amazing. Chocolate covered cashews- not so much.
Hockey is less than 2 days away. I will miss the Edmonton Calgary game I think. I'm going to be on the bus, ironically enough, on my way to Calgary for the weekend. I have yet to figure out where I'm staying. I'll have to leave my dog with my parents. I'll miss him. I'm going to go look at MP3 players tomorrow. I think I'll want one for the bus.
I've found a roommate. He's Vietnamese. Seems like a really cool guy. He's not going to be here for long but it's all good.
Turns out, there's a lot of news. So, I hope everyone is doing well.
