"Remember back to when you were a little kid, riding in the car at night. You were in the back seat looking at the moon shining in the sky. When the car moved, the moon followed you!
At some point in life, the moon stops following you. I'm on a quest to get the moon to follow me again."
A good friend said this to me as we were discussing how shitty our daily lives have become. For some reason it just really stuck with me and I can't stop thinking about it. I think it pretty well sums up how, as we become adults, we go through so much shit that hardens our hearts and makes us jaded, faded, and degraded. How do we shake all that off and see life's wonders through the eyes of a child again?
