Good stuff:

* I hung out with Perdita on Sunday. Oh, what an awesome girl she is. We went to the beach in Rhode Island and swam in the ocean and talked about douchebag dates and comic books. We got on like Batman & Robin, only without the homoerotic subtext. She's my new superfriend.

* The first day at the new job went as well as I could have hoped for. Everybody was really cool; meeting Curt Schilling was pretty funny (he asked if I needed anything and I asked for cheap housing in Boston). He's totally a nice guy. I've got a pile of technical documents to sort through, but that's how it usually goes with these first day things. Anyhoodle, I've been given my first assignment, and it is perhaps the single coolest thing I've ever worked on in my game development career.

Bad stuff:

* I got a mass email invitation to my ex-fiance's engagement party. It had attached a photo of her and her new guy. I don't think I was supposed to get that. This is getting ridiculous.
