So. I'm going to detail to you in this post some of the stuff I did for MJ Richards, immediately before she dumped me. I have to tell this to someone and you may find it petty, but I wanted to express the sincere love I had for this girl and how shattered I still feel that this love was not reciprocated. I could have told this to my 'real life' friends, but I'm too fearful that they will call me a fool for being so magnanimous towards someone who, it was clear to them, didn't deserve me. With the exception of a select few, I'll never meet any of you in real life, so I feel safe that I won't have to face your pitying stares. Anyway. Here is what I did for MJ Richards:
- On the day after Valentines, she flew into Vancouver from Ottawa, a ticket I paid, for a weekend visit. Price: $750
- That same weekend, I paid for a surprise spa treatment for her. Price: $150
- After the spa, we went to lunch. Price: $30.
- We saw a movie on Friday night ($24) and then we had dinner at the best Indian resturant in Vancouver ($45).
- We went shopping on the Saturday of that weekend. There were some things that she wanted which she could not afford. I bought them for her. Those things were a pair of boutique designer jeans ($200), a designer blouse ($120) and pair of designer shoes ($115).
- We had lunch at a local cafe. Price: $50.
- I bought dinner with some of her friends at the best sushi place in Vancouver. Price: $180.
- I bought breakfast with one of her university friends on Sunday. Price: $40.
It's not that I'm full of regret for spending so much money on her. It's just money, and at the time, I really loved her and for those I love, I love extravangantly (family, friends, lovers). I wanted to convey to you how much I loved this girl, and how, even nearing a month after she dumped me, I still find it hard to breathe when I think about her rejection of me.
