Dear anonymous Internet people,

One of my favourite people in the world is getting married in May in Illinois. I thought I had a date to her wedding, but recent events have scuttled that plan. I therefore find myself without a date, after having RSVP-ed for myself plus one guest. Anybody want to keep me company during those awkward moments that will inevitably occur during the reception dinner? I promise plenty of free acohol and all the fine food you can stuff down your gullet. Plus, there are rumours that Jeff Tweedy and Neko Case will show up for a duet during the reception. Or, rather, reasonable facsimiles of Jeff Tweedy and Neko Case.
