I've been meaning to get around to reading my collection of Hunter S. Thompson books for ages, and I've finally done it. I don't know why it's taken me so long. I guess I wanted to read his work after digesting his death for a while--you know, not reading too much emotion into the situation.
There are far too many brilliant insights to quote, but my favorite right now is:
"Freedom is something that dies unless it's used."
Kind of appropriate in today's political climate.
